Miniature session on the future of tourism

It is safe to say that pandemic has pummelled global travel and there is a big question that, what would be long term implications for these changes? In Europe alone one of the biggest markets, spending was down by sixty four percent in 2020 compared to the previous year. But as vaccination rise in many countries there is some sense that situation could turn normal as before, with the discussion of the vaccination passports and some easing of travel in some countries – so it is safe to enjoy Dhow dinner cruise marina in Dubai!

What does the future of travel industry look like post-pandemic?

According to the CEO of Trip.com Group they have seen the growth in business whether it is airfare or tourists foot fall when compared to the pre-Covid scenario. According to her for hotels, it is even higher during the five-day weekend, which is close to fifty percent over year growth. She further says that for rental car, it is three hundred percent year over year growth. According to her the company has seen a very strong rebound from the pre Covid level, which they are very excited about.

Further she says that there are couple of trends her firm has observed which she concludes as the implication of pandemic. The primary trend is that the people are paying more attention to their safety. So hoteliers and air ticket issuers along with the local tour operators can offer a safety network. The industrial has joined together for the safety alliance. So the tourists are offered hand sanitary, and masks etc.

The second trend that emerged after pandemic is that the tourists prefer to flock in smaller groups, rather than a big bus with fifty people. She adds that her firm innovated small customized tours where people can travel with their close family members as well as their close friends. And certainly customers much prefer to use flexible packages, such as a free cancellation, free changeable tickets, and hotel reservation etc. So her firm work with its industry partners to make sure they offer more flexible packages to suit to customers’ needs in this environment – and it can be concluded that it is the best time for Arabian Adventures!

Is the tourism industry affected by inflation?

Because the market is still in climbing mode, so the whole industry is positive and willing to offer the flexible packages to stimulate the market. So people are very open minded when they are travelling. She says that some of the airlines offer USD 10 ticket to fly from Beijing to Shanghai, just to make sure that people are willing to try it out. According to her once the loading Data is up, then the price will come up gradually.
